Synopsis of Play
It's Christmas Eve and Sharkey has returned to Dublin to look after his irascible, ageing brother who's recently gone blind. Old drinking buddies Ivan and Nicky are holed up at the house too, hoping to play some cards. But with the arrival of a stranger from the distant past, the stakes are even higher. In fact, Sharky may be playing for his soul.

History of the Group
In existence since 1966, Wexford Drama Group is an amateur drama group located in Wexford town. Wexford Drama Group presents three productions each year. One mid-summer to cater for the many tourists that visit our town, with another each year in October to coincide with the world renowned Wexford opera Festival and our third annual production in February. Our February production each year travels around the country competing on the Amateur Drama Circuit of Ireland with an ultimate goal of reaching the All Ireland finals in Athlone in May each year. Wexford Drama Group have reached these finals on numerous occasions most recently in 2014 with 'Other Desert Cities' by Jon Robin Baitz.

Since 1981, West Waterford Drama Festival is held in Ballyduff during March. Over three decades of dramatic excitement, community endeavour, investment in friendship and sheer good fun. All driven by an ethos of volunteerism, community and good humour. more
